A Harry Situation

I'm really not happy with the state of affairs.  I'll keep this brief, but I just need to e-vent.  And fyi, this is the public version.  There's soon to be a much gorier, realistic, and private v2.0.

- Being disrespected.
- Living in Azusa.
- Being an undergrad student.
- Family Guy!
- Worrying about finances.
- Did I mention living in Azusa?
- Bullshitting in all its glorious forms.
- Losing things (I assume?).
- Bigoted North Americans, specifically from the U.S. and Canada.

I'll add more as I think of it.  This is a running list.

Ok, so I took this typing speed thing. Fastest time and least errors I got was 102/min with 1 error. Yay. Maybe I'll drop out of nursing school and become a typist. Because I preferred doing this rather than studying pathologies of the cell. :)

Not that dancing has anything to do with my post.  Enrique Iglesias is just playing in my head, and it's a romantic song.  And let me tell you, I'm feeling romantic from the last two days.  San Francisco has been, in a word, amazing.  The sky is overcast today, and you can smell the saltwater all the way in Oakland.  It's cold enough to warrant long sleeves, but not too cold to take a walk to Jack London Square (SO cute!).  I now have a new context for good coffee (read: Starbucks) and why it originated in such an overcast city.

My mom just called, and *ugh*.  She started with, "Can I unload on you so that I don't have to vent at Dad?  He'll just get angry.  It's probably inappropriate, but you just understand." 
(internal sigh), then, "Okay."
Basically, my brother doesn't know how to show love to anyone except our cousin, Jake.  They connect.  They hang out - ALL the time.  My mom went to Mitch's house to see his two sons (Tayton + Bodee).  He was putting Tayt's shoes on when she got there, and when she asked him where he was going, he replied: "Jake's."  He left and Mom spent time with Bodee and Kirsten (Mitch's wife, my sister-in-law).

What a long day! I just got home from work and I am BEAT. Glad to be home and kick up my feet, though. Now I'm supposed to study for the civics test and math analysis test? RIGHT! Much less do the English homework I've been putting off. Bleh...

Ok. So now I'm going to go play a game for an hour or so and then get to my dang homework. Maybe by then I will be cooled off a bit and a little more "unwound." I love the school year...I love the school year...I love the school year...
By the way: this song is HORRIBLE! Who would air this song? Even if it IS web radio. Sheesh, dumb web jockeys! On an up-side: IT'S COLD OUTSIDE! I LOVE IT!

Well...today is over now. And I'm still awake. This LJ thing sure is addictive. I think I would like to figure out how to do those nifty "cut" dealios. Anyway, I'm working on producing a decent working layout. So far, so....mediocre. Darn. Also, I threw together a quicky icon. That'll have to change after a while as well.

I went to the Starbucks at Barnes & Noble tonight and got a big coffee drink. Now I'm fidgitey and unable to sleep. Good thinkin...Work tomorrow starts at 7:45a.m. Then I get off work around 6:30p.m. and am going to a party @ 7p.m. yay. I'm just absolutely thrilled.

I think I will never understand other people very completely. Oh well, I just need to be nice. Hm...something to work on. Now I'm going to attempt to get some sleep. Maybe my nifty YC friends will help me with my layout sometime. That would be nice. Self: pleasant dreams. Gee! Thanks.

So someone said I should get started on this whole "LJ" thing. Seems to be the trendy thing to do. I think I'll appreciate it. I can see this going places. That's a corporate term: "going places." So maybe I should make money for posting updates on this journal? The thing is...I'm chronically horrible about not updating a journal...much less a website. BUT I LOVE PHOTOSHOP! Photoshop is a demi-god in my life. But God is God...right? Yes. Okay. Now I'm going to go eat lunch. My friend just said I should marry Photoshop. Her name is turbo_geeker (LJ s/n). She's funny. I only know her from the beginning of this school year.

Okay, so now I shall retreat to the safety and solitude of "self". Enjoy my future layout as it is going to be very much awesome.
